Vertu unveils limited edition Ascent Ferrari GT luxury phone

The British luxury phone maker Vertu has once again teamed up with Ferrari to roll out its latest luxury handset dubbed the Ascent Ferrari GT. The new luxury phone is inspired from the high-end Italian cars, and has its body made from forged titanium with a matte black PVD finish. The Vertu Ascent Ferrari GT flaunts the same black and red hand-sewn leather ornaments we find inside a Ferrari. The side of the phone reminds us of the Ferrari engine grill. Other features include precision engineered stainless steel keys and a ceramic battery cover.

The tech specs include a 2 QVGA screen, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and 1115mm stereo speakers. Only 2,011 Ascent Ferrari GTs will be offered for sale.

Well today we've got another timepiece project for you, also currently being featured on Kickstart. The Haptica is an innovative timepiece that indicates time using braille. The dots actually rotate on the face of the Haptica and as found and designer David Chavez puts it, represent a major step forward in timepieces for the visually impaired. If the project reaches its $150,000 capital goal, produciton will begin and each will cost around $250.
