The man behind this is Rick Dobbertin who has put in as much as 9 years and over 18000 hours to build this. One of the major USPs here is the ability of the HydroCAR to drive on land and also float on water.

The switch between land and water is easy owing to a pair of giant pontoons. This isnt something that you come across every day. eBay has known to feature several bizarre products in the past but this one is truly top-of-the-heap stuff. The bid was put up on 23d December. The sale price includes a 2009 custom built, tri-axle gooseneck trailer to tow the vehicle and also the premium for makers hard work. The journey hasnt been exactly smooth for Dobbertin. A lot of mechanical, legal and money trouble dropped in as he was in the process of making this. So if you are lucky enough to lay your hands on this, youd know this isnt any ordinary piece of vehicle.
