Marc Sadler partners with Foscarini for a limited edition carbon fiber lamp

The Italian house Foscarini is well known for its unique collection of lights. The brand has earlier partnered with milan-based designer Marc Sadler at many instances including Tress, a cutting edge lamp made from interwoven threads soaked in resin and cast in a long cylinder besides . The duo is now back with yet another cool lamp a 73-inch carbon fiber lamp known as the Mite to celebrate their ten-year collaboration anniversary. The sleek lamp is made form Kevlar, carbon fiber and fiberglass and stands tall on a polished chrome base bearing Marc Sadlers signature with Foscarini logo. The Mite is a special edition product available only in yellow and black, for around $1500.

Limited edition Dunhill Sentryman Explorer II pen

Naveen: London-based Alfred Dunhill , the firm that caters to the needs of the discerning man, has now dropped the newest pen in the brands Sentryman Explorer series. A design worthy of well-heeled mountain climbers and adventurers, the limited edition Dunhill Sentryman Explorer II pen comes with a hidden compass, flashlight and interchangeable 18-karat gold fountain, ballpoint and pencil foreparts. The new piece allows the writer to change between fountain pen, ballpoint and pencil with a unique bayonet attachment. Like the original Explorer pen, it also has a luminous ring in the cap to make it easier to locate in the dark. Remember TikTok and LunaTik , the iPod Nano conversion project we showed you on the crowd-sourced funding site KickStart? Well today we've got another timepiece project for you, also currently being featured on Kickstart. The Haptica is an innovative timepiece that indicates time using braille. The dots actually rotate on the face of the Haptica and as found and designer David Chavez puts it, represent a major step forward in timepieces for the visually impaired. If the project reaches its $150,000 capital goal, produciton will begin and each will cost around $250. Currently, Haptica has 24 backers and $13,085 secured, so we need to get some major support going here!
