A well-designed coffee machine is as much a consideration as the brewing performance when you are in the market for buying one. Sieger design has designed a new generation of coffee machine for Kaffee Partner with the Ultima Duo. The machine pleases with its aesthetic looks along with a touchscreen interface with different icons cups for an innovative yet minimalist interface. The use of black and materials such as glass and robust galvanized stainless steel give it an elegant yet hi-tech look. The Ultima Duo by designer Michael Winner has been awarded the iF Product Design Award 2011 award. The machine has two grinding mills, processing two different types of beans and over 50 possible coffees for individual needs just at the touch of a button. Moreover, the machine is literally maintenance free with its fast, fully automatic cleaning process that is also activated with one button. No word on the price is yet available on the site.

Limited edition Dunhill Sentryman Explorer II pen

Naveen: London-based Alfred Dunhill , the firm that caters to the needs of the discerning man, has now dropped the newest pen in the brands Sentryman Explorer series. A design worthy of well-heeled mountain climbers and adventurers, the limited edition Dunhill Sentryman Explorer II pen comes with a hidden compass, flashlight and interchangeable 18-karat gold fountain, ballpoint and pencil foreparts. The new piece allows the writer to change between fountain pen, ballpoint and pencil with a unique bayonet attachment. Like the original Explorer pen, it also has a luminous ring in the cap to make it easier to locate in the dark. Is it us or are there a whole bunch of great new watch designs coming out these days? Remember TikTok and LunaTik , the iPod Nano conversion project we showed you on the crowd-sourced funding site KickStart? Well today we've got another timepiece project for you, also currently being featured on Kickstart. The Haptica is an innovative timepiece that indicates time using braille. The dots actually rotate on the face of the Haptica and as found and designer David Chavez puts it, represent a major step forward in timepieces for the visually impaired. If the project reaches its $150,000 capital goal, produciton will begin and each will cost around $250. Currently, Haptica has 24 backers and $13,085 secured, so we need to get some major support going here!
