The new Split-Box Media Console from London-based home automation specialist Gibson Music lets you hide the biggest of screens with the utmost ease. Made by international furniture designer Peter Harvey, the Split-Box media center is minimal and elegant when not in use. It comes with internal lift mechanism done by FutureAutomation. The media center easily houses a 60-inch 3D TV. Using the touch panel, you can lower it away to conceal all the electronic components. The inside of the Split-Box can be customized to include 32-, 37-, 42-, 50- or 60-inch screens, as well as shelves or other technology.

Suitable for home or office, the Split-Box features a freestanding outer frame, which can be custom made in a range of materials, such as Corian, teak or leather. The new Split-Box Media Center is priced at 20,000 ($31,655) inclusive of a TV installed as part of a home automation package.
