Award-winning WOODN8R Hot Rod Woody up for grabs

Youll be hard pressed to find a better example of a Hot Rod Woody than the WOODN8R, said Barrett-Jackson, Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson.

Up for grabs at this years Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event is the popular car designed by Jimmy C. Kustoms and built by Randy Ward of Rod Benders Hot Rods. The award-winning WOODN8R is a custom-built 1950 Ford wagon transformed into a prime example of a So Cal-style Woody Hot Rod. The powder coated frame has a Fat Man Stage II with custom Aldan Eagle coilover shocks at the front end and custom Ford 9 built by Currie and custom mono leaf springs at the rear end. The Woody gets its juice from a performance-built 302 Ford small block V8 with Jimmy C. Kustom ramair and a custom C4 automatic transmission with 10 torque converter built by Art Carr. Craig Jackson further said

This teal blue Ford represents hours upon hours of painstaking restoration and customization work. Its a strong runner and a perennial award winner where no expense was spared. You cant ask for a better team to create a So Cal-style Woody Hot Rod than Jimmy C. Kustoms and Rodbenders Hot Rods. A walk around this Woody is all it takes to realize the level of talent they have.

The finishing touches include one-off hood ornament, emblems, wonderful pinstripe work, custom designed and manufactured visor, wheels and tail lights from Custom Classics and Rods. The lucky buyer will also receive signed rare custom painted Fender Telecaster guitar and all the memorabilia from 1st Place Grand National Roadster Show and 1st Place Goodguys two years in a row.

A result of a three-year, frame-off restoration project, the WOODN8R show car was shown at the 2008 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Woody Hot Rod was also awarde! d with t he title of one of the Top Ten Attention Grabbing Vehicles by Discovery Channels Turbo section.
