At 550,000, this is the Britains most expensive caravan

britains most expensive caravan
Situated on the seafront in Abersoch, North Wales, this luxurious three-bedroom static holiday home is being said to be the most expensive mobile home ever purchased in the UK. An anonymous millionaire couple, supposedly from Warrington, Cheshire, bought this caravan on lease last month for 550,000 (about $870,530), which is three times the average UK house price. After the 20-year lease, they can either negotiate to stay or get the mobile home shifted to another location. The mobile home comes with three bedrooms, a 15,000 kitchen and designer Italian furniture. The caravan at The Warren in the Lln Peninsula resort offers stunning sea views and has its own staircase down to the beach.

Also called the Anniversary Lodge, the holiday home was built to celebrate the 75th anniversary of park owners, Haulfryn Holiday Homes. The luxurious home comes with an integrated sound and television system and underfloor heating, which the owner can control with the iPhone. While the master bedroom of the house features fitted wardrobes, silk sheets and an en suite spa shower and toilet, the marble bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath. The reflective double glazing of the house keeps the heat out and in the summer and winter respectively.

Despite all the lavish features, the lodge is still technically a caravan because it is on a chassis and has wheels. Jim Gandon, director of sales and marketing at Haulfryn Holiday Homes, said.

We dont shy away from the fact its a static caravan, said Jim, who heads up marketing for 20 such holiday parks across the UK. Thats the heritage of the holiday park. The great British holiday has evolved and we should embrace that.

The Warren has around 700 holiday homes and is quite popular with the millionaire Cheshire set who privately own many of the static caravans on the site.
