Taste and Soul: Macallan's 20 yr old scotch and Albert Watson's art

Famed Scottish photographer Albert Watson features in the latest Macallans Masters of Photography series, wherein the Scottish whiskey makers are launching a limited run of 200 bottles ($1,000) that come with Watsons specially commissioned prints. Recently unveiled at Milk Studios in New York, the photos are a compendium of Watsons 12-day journey following Macallans oak casks from the forests of Spain to the Highlands of Scotland.

An interesting collaboration to say the least, Watsons prints perfectly compliment the smooth and consistent taste of Macallan scotch.

Remember TikTok and LunaTik , the iPod Nano conversion project we showed you on the crowd-sourced funding site KickStart? Well today we've got another timepiece project for you, also currently being featured on Kickstart. The Haptica is an innovative timepiece that indicates time using braille. The dots actually rotate on the face of the Haptica and as found and designer David Chavez puts it, represent a major step forward in timepieces for the visually impaired. If the project reaches its $150,000 capital goal, produciton will begin and each will cost around $250. Currently, Haptica has 24 backers and $13,085 secured, so we need to get some major support going here! In the popular (read: crowded and too often boring) dive watch market it seems that some of the most popular recent ( and upcoming ) releases have been trips down horological memory lane. One such stand out of 2010 was the reissue of the 1973 Kon Tiki Super , from Eterna, a great brand with a long history (they founded ETA before selling it to the Swatch Group).
